Emergency Response Measures

Due to epidemic of “COVID-19”, after discussion and collective decisions made by Emergency Response Team for COVID-19; Providence University set four emergency response measures in order to protect the health and wellbeing for all teachers and students on campus. Your cooperation will be much appreciated.

 

I. Response Measure for Schoolwide Health Management: (Contact/Counseling and Health Center, ext. 11239)

  • If any student or faculty member have fever or respiratory symptoms on campus, medical masks should be worn and report to nearby hospital immediately. Every patient should stay and rest at home.
  • There are total of 7 temperature detection stations located on campus: Bishop Kupfer Hall, Schultz Hall, St. Bosco Hall, PU Guild Hall, Luking Library, Anthony Kuo Hall, and John Paul II Sports Hall.

II. Response Measure for Cafeteria (Contact/Division of Student Assistance, ext. 11211)

  • In order to prevent clustering effect in cafeteria, it is recommended to purchase meals at takeaway restaurants (such as Entrance of Jing-Yuan Cafeteria, South Entrance of Providence Hall, or Entrance of Anthony Kuo Hall) and prepare your own utensils.
  • If you have fever or possess coughing, respiratory symptoms; please do not enter any cafeteria. Everyone should wear facial masks when entering a cafeteria to purchase meals.

III. Response Measure for Dormitory (Contact/Division of Student Housing Service, ext. 11245)

  • All residing students should cooperate for measuring body temperature prior to entering dormitories. All rooms should be kept ventilate and tidy.
  • If you have symptoms including fever, coughing or respiratory symptoms, medical masks should be worn and report to division of student housing service as well as check in a nearby hospital immediately.

IV. Response Measure for Student Clubs (Contact/Division of Extra-Curricular Activities, ext. 11220)

  • If you have fever, coughing or respiratory symptoms, medical masks should be worn and report to nearby hospital immediately. Please do not participate in any activity.
  • It is recommended to cancel or postpone any unnecessary activity. Please follow any related regulation for participating necessary activities.

     All related epidemic prevention measures will be adjusted along with government policies and response measures; announcement will also be updated accordingly at emergency planning zone for COVID-19. All teachers and students should not only look after their own health, but also follow closely with every response measure. Your cooperation is much appreciated. Thank you.
