President of Providence University Visits Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts to Strengthen Future Collaborative Ties

In order to promote academic and international collaboration, President Lin Sih-Ling of Providence University, along with Secretary Chiu Hui-Juan, recently participated in the ACUCA Annual Conference, where they engaged in discussions with President Kawasaki Kiyoshi of Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts and other university representatives.

The primary goal of this visit was to strengthen the future partnership between the two universities and explore ways to enhance cooperation in areas such as education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and social responsibility.

President Kawasaki introduced the educational philosophy of Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts, emphasizing the institution's commitment to "supporting every student."

The university strives to cultivate well-rounded individuals who maintain a balance between career and life while also fostering a sense of social responsibility.

The "DWCLA10" core competencies, which include analytical skills, creativity, leadership, and eight other key areas, are designed to prepare students to face future challenges.

Providence University, on the other hand, highlighted its educational mission of "serving society and caring for people," and its proactive efforts in promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative teaching.

The university is dedicated to cultivating leaders with a global perspective. Its performance in internationalization has been widely recognized, ranking fourth among Taiwan's universities in 2025 and first among private universities.

President Lin expressed great anticipation for deepening future cooperation with Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts and extended a warm invitation to President Kawasaki and her team to visit Taiwan.
