Dear Partners,

Greetings from Providence University, Taiwan!

Hope you’re enjoying the festive holidays.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’d like to provide you a quick update on Taiwan's border control policy and available academic exchange cooperation for the 2021 spring semester.

1.Entry restrictions for foreigner students to Taiwan in response to COVID-19 outbreak

According to the Ministry of Education on 12/30, all foreign students' entries have been put on hold temporarily effective on Jan 1st, 2021. Until further announcement is made from the government, we would continue to provide virtual incoming exchange programs and short term programs.

2.Outgoing exchange students

Once being well-informed for the travel risks and the partners’ responsive measures during the pandemic, our outgoing students may choose to study abroad at our partner institutions. There are still a handful of outgoing PU students who proceed to their host sites as planned.

3.Connection is always available here.

Although the pandemic made international travel inconvenient, our effort to stay connected with our partners never falters. Following please find the newsletter as well as our program initiatives for our partners:

1. News Letter-Trial Edition
2.
Global A+ double degree program
3.
Providence Project-SDGs3  (will call again for 2021 spring)
4.
Providence Tea Time-casual cultural exchange(will call again for 2021 spring)

Feel free to contact us for any questions.

Until we meet again in person, we look forward to seeing you online!
