Providence University Collaborates with Saint Rosa de Lima Girls’ School (Chinese Section) in Macau to Host a Workshop on Positive Thinking and Life Education

On November 13, Providence University partnered with Saint Rosa de Lima Girls’ School (Chinese Section) in Macau to host a workshop themed “Positive Thinking and Life Education.” The event aimed to cultivate a proactive mindset and strong sense of life values among teachers and students. Several experts and scholars were invited to deliver a series of lectures and workshops tailored to different age groups.

The keynote speaker of the event was Principal Lin Si-Ling, who delivered a talk titled “Servant Leadership — Achieving Personal Growth and Empowering Others.” Principal Lin shared how servant leadership can foster self-development while creating value for others. With her extensive experience in the field of education and her dedication to developing student leadership, she is widely respected by students and parents alike.

To address the needs of students across different educational levels, Providence University and Saint Rosa de Lima Girls’ School arranged several special-topic lectures:

Kindergarten Division:
Teacher Chien Yung-Jhen shared insights on “Integrating Life Education into Kindergarten Curriculum Design,” offering concrete teaching strategies on how to effectively bring life education concepts into young children’s daily learning.

Elementary School Division:
Teacher Feng Chen-Chih delivered a lecture on “Integrating Biomedical Dream Education into Daily Teaching,” exploring how biomedical and health-related topics can be incorporated into elementary education to enhance students’ scientific literacy and life attitudes.

Secondary School Division:
Dr. Lee Han-Chuan presented a talk titled “Life Is Difficult, and the Difficulty Lies in…” guiding secondary students to reflect on the psychological challenges faced by modern teenagers and offering methods for building a positive mindset and improving self-adjustment.

This workshop aimed to deepen students’ understanding of positive thinking and life education through professional guidance and hands-on activities, helping them apply these concepts in both learning and daily life, thereby laying a solid foundation for their future growth.
