Providence University Shines at APAIE 2026: Linking Elite Global Universities Across Three Continents to Empower Students
Providence University has achieved another milestone in its commitment to internationalization. President Lucia S. Lin recently led a delegation to the 2026 APAIE Conference and Exhibition, demonstrating the university's formidable global academic influence. During the event, PU officially signed cooperation agreements with Whitecliffe College (New Zealand) and Saint Francis University (Hong Kong).
Strategic Global Expansion: Multi-Pathways for Students
This mission yielded significant results as Providence University actively sought diverse academic pathways for its students:
In Europe: PU engaged in talks with Karel de Grote University of Applied Sciences and Arts (KdG) in Belgium regarding a "3+1+1" Dual Degree Program (Bachelor’s + Master’s), streamlining the path to advanced international degrees.
In the Asia-Pacific: PU collaborated with J. F. Oberlin University in Japan to launch an innovative "Japan-Taiwan Short-term Overseas Study Program," designed to attract students from around the world to engage in immersive learning in both locations.
Strengthening the Catholic University Alliance
President Lin emphasized that the alliance with Saint Francis University (SFU) symbolizes a deep synergy within the Catholic university network, specifically in the fields of Nursing, Business Management, and Service Learning.
President Lucia S. Lin stated: "Through the strategic matchmaking at the APAIE conference, Providence University continues to expand its '411 Overseas Study Program' map. By offering tuition-free exchanges, dual degrees, and international internships, we are building a shortcut to the world for our students and cultivating their future global competitiveness."
